First, add 72 to both sides: 32x%5E2=72
Divide both sides by 32: x%5E2=2.25
Take the square root of both sides (remember the right can be positive or negative!): +x+=+pos_or_neg+1.5+

Your two answers are x=1.5 and x=-1.5
