Question 464600: What steps do I take to find all the rational zero's of the function,
f(x)=10x^25+3x^17-35x+6?
So far I have found the factors of six. I have started to divide by 2, and these numbers look odd.
Thank you

You can put this solution on YOUR website! rational zero's of the function,
f(x)=10x^25+3x^17-35x+6?
---------
Solve: 10x^25+3x^17-35x+6
----
All the factors are + and - :
Factors of six: 1,2,3,6
Factors of ten: 1,2,5,10
---
All the rational roots have the form p/q where
p is a factor of 6 and q is a factor of 10.
-------------------------------
Rational Root candidates: 1,2,3,6,1/2,3/2,3,1/5,2/5,3/5,6/5,1/10,3/10
---
Graph to get some idea of the rational zeroes:
