You can put this solution on YOUR website! 4-4y-y^2=0
Multiply through be -1 or get the same result by transposing
the left to the right side of the equal sign. In either case
you get:
y^2+4y-4=0
You can put this solution on YOUR website! 4-4y-y^2=0
change to
-y-4y-4=0
(-y+2)(y-2)=0
-----------
solve for y
(-y+2)=0
(-y+2-2)=0-2
(-y)=-2
divide by -1
y=2
-----------
(y-2)=0
(y-2+2)=0+2
y=2
so the answer is y=2
