SOLUTION: My question is a quadratic equation: 8x+27=5x. I tried to solve by subtracting 8x by 5x. the 3x +27=0. I subtracted 27 and got 3x= -27. After that I got 3x= -27. My answer was x= -

You can put this solution on YOUR website! It's correct. However the equation is not quadratic, since the degree is 1. It is definitely solvable by the quadratic formula (letting a = 0); it'd be kind of pointless using it though :)
