Let x represent the time it would take them to mow that lawn together
1%2F5+%2B+1%2F6+=+1%2Fx Letting "per hour" be the equalizer
Multiplying each term on both sides of the equation by 30x in order for all denominators to = 1
6x + 5x = 30
11x = 30
x = 2.727 hrs together
