There is a nice little trick to finding the sum of the solutions to a quadratic.
It is just -b%2Fa
In this case, we have -x%5E2-x%2B6=0
a=-1 b=-1
-%28-1%29%2F%28-1%29=-1
You do not have to solve and then add the solutions. Just use this little 'formula'.
