Complete the square to put the equation into vertex form, y=a%28x-h%29%5E2%2Bk, where (h,k) is the vertex.
y=x%5E2-6x%2B10
y=x%5E2-6x%2B9%2B10-9
y=%28x-3%29%5E2%2B1
The vertex is (3,1).
The axis of symmetry is x=3 so all point equidistant from the axis are symmetric.
x=4 and x=2
y=%284-3%29%5E2%2B1=2
