You can put this solution on YOUR website!
p^2 + 8p + 16 = 0 using quadratic formula
ap^2 + bp + c^2 = 0
p+=+%28-b+%2B-+sqrt%28+b%5E2-4%2Aa%2Ac+%29%29%2F%282%2Aa%29+
where a=1, b=8, c=16
p+=+%28-8+%2B-+sqrt%28+8%5E2-4%2A1%2A16+%29%29%2F%282%2A1%29+
p+=+%28-8+%2B-+sqrt%28+64-64%29%29%2F2+
p+=+%28-8+%2B-+sqrt%280%29%29%2F2+
p+=+-8%2F2+
p+=+-4+
(p+4)(p+4) = p^2 + 4p + 4p + 16 = p^2 + 8p + 16 (used foil)
The answers are -4 and -4 or just -4.
