We can tell immedidately that the vertex is at points (-5,-1).
Rearranging to find the roots (where the graph crosses the x axis) we get 1%2F4=%28x%2B5%29%5E2 plus or minus sqrt%281%2F4%29-5=x so we know that the roots are 1%2F2-5=-4.5 and -1%2F2-5=-5.5
