What is the greatest common factor of the terms 14c%5E2d and 42c%5E3d?

Step 1. Look at the numbers 14 and 42. The common factor is 14 since 3*2*7=42 and 2*7=14.

Step 2. Look at the c terms c%5E2 and c%5E3. The common factor is c%5E2 since c%5E2=c%2Ac and c%5E3=c%2Ac%2Ac.
