You can put this solution on YOUR website!
The vertex of a parabola is ( -2,4) . one x-intercept is -4 what is the other
x – intercept ?
:
From the vertex, the x value of the axis of symmetry = -2
The axis of symmetry is halfway between the x intercepts
therefore
Find the distance from x=-4; to the axis symmetry (-2)
-2 -(-4)
Difference: (-2+4) = 2
Axis of symmetry + 2
-2 + 2; x = 0 is the other intercept
