A parabola is bisected by its line of symmetry which is a vertical line passing through the parabola's vertex. This parabola opens downward if its vertex is at (-2, 4) and it intercepts the x-axis. If one of the parabola's x-intercept is at (-4, 0) then its other intercept, which is equidistant from the line of symmetry, must be at (0, 0).
