You can put this solution on YOUR website!

From -2x%5E2%2B5x-6 we can see that a=-2, b=5, and c=-6

D=b%5E2-4ac Start with the discriminant formula.

D=%285%29%5E2-4%28-2%29%28-6%29 Plug in a=-2, b=5, and c=-6

D=25-4%28-2%29%28-6%29 Square 5 to get 25

D=25-48 Multiply 4%28-2%29%28-6%29 to get %28-8%29%28-6%29=48

D=-23 Subtract 48 from 25 to get -23

Since the discriminant is less than zero, this means that there are two complex solutions.

In other words, there are no real solutions.
