SOLUTION: I am having some trouble with Quadratic Formulas. Here is my problem: x^2-5x-5=0
Here is what I did: x^2-5x-5=0 A=1 B= -5 C= -5 x=5+/- (radical sign) -5^2-4(1)(-5) (all over)2 x

: I am having some trouble with Quadratic Formulas. Here is my problem: x^2-5x-5=0
Here is what I did: x^2-5x-5=0 A=1 B= -5 C= -5 x=5+/- (radical sign) -5^2-4(1)(-5) (all over)2 x=5+/- (radical sign)25-20 (all over) 2 x=5+/-(radical sign)5(all over) 2 so my answer is x=5+(radical sign)5(all over)2 or x=5-(radical sign)5(all over)2 Can you check that answer for me? Thanks a ton, Heather This question is from textbook
You can put this solution on YOUR website! I am having some trouble with Quadratic Formulas. Here is my problem:
x^2-5x-5=0
x = [5 +- sqrt(25 - 4*1*-5)]/2
x = [5 +- sqrt(45)]/2
x = [5 +- 3sqrt(5)]/2
