Question 140599: Solve and graph.
3x + 9 >_ -15 or 3x + 1 >_ -8

The graph's are number lines and are supposed to have either a ( or a [ on the one end and i have no idea how to do these the right way can someone hlp. Answer by stanbon(75887) (Show Source):
You can put this solution on YOUR website! Solve and graph.
3x + 9 >_ -15 or 3x + 1 >_ -8
3x >=-24 or 3x >= -9
x >=-8 or x >= -3
-------------------------
Comment: Since you have an "or" between the inequality statements
I assume you want the union of the solution sets.
That would be [-8,+inf)
------------------------
You will have to graph the separate solutions and form the union.
------------------------
Draw a number line.
Put a dark circle at x = -3 and at x=-8
Draw a ray extending from -8 to the right.
Draw a ray extending from -3 to the right.
The union is a ray extending from -8 to the right.
