Question 136875: Systems of equations can be solved by graphing or by using substitution or elimination. What are the pros and cons of each method? Which method do you like best? Why? What circumstances would cause you to use a different method?
Can someone please help me answer this question, so I myself can understand it? I am soooo bad at this I am terrible and I am never going to understand things when i cannot understand the explaination?!! Hope someone can help me soon!! Answer by stanbon(75887) (Show Source):
You can put this solution on YOUR website! Systems of equations can be solved by graphing or by using substitution or elimination. What are the pros and cons of each method? Which method do you like best? Why? What circumstances would cause you to use a different method?
------------------
Graphing is find if you want a quick guestimate of the solution.
Substitution is good if one of the equation can easily be solved
for one of the variables.
Elimination is always good as a last resort if graphing is not
accurate enough or if both of the equations are complicated.
