You can put this solution on YOUR website!
5X+2Y=9
2Y=-5X+9
Y=-5X/2-9/2 (RED LINE) THIS LINE HAS A SLOPE OF -5/2 THEREFORE A PERPENDICULAR LINE HAS THE SLOPE=2/5.
-6=2/5*3=b
-6=6/5+b
b=-6-6/5
b=(-6*5-6)/5
b=(-30-6)/5
b=-36/5
SO THE EQUATION OF THIS LINE IS:
Y=2X/5-36/5. (GREEN LINE)
