Question 1118516: a realty developer sells residential lots for php 4,000 per square meter plus a processing fee of php 25,000. one of the lots the realty developer is selling cots php 625,000.. Quadratic or not? Found 3 solutions by ikleyn, josgarithmetic, solver91311:Answer by ikleyn(52780) (Show Source):
Depends. If the variable represents the area of the lot, then it is a linear relationship. If the variable represents one dimension of the lot and it is multiplied by a linear function of that variable representing the other dimension of the lot, then you do have a quadratic function. If you have two variables then you have a 2nd-degree multi-variate function. The point is, next time you ask us a question, please tell the whole story.
