There are TWO WAYS to solve it.

The way #1.


         To find "k", simply substitute 11%2F2 as "x" into the equation.


         Then the left side will be equal to k. It will give you the value of "k".


         When you will find k, simplify the equation and find the other root.



The way #2.


        You can easily and quickly understand, that for the given equation the value of -11%2F2 is the other root together with the root 11%2F2.
