From the top equation, we can substitute x%5E2 for A in the bottom one:

+x%5E2%2B4x%2B4+=+x%5E2+%2B+24+
++4x%2B4+=+24+ (subtracted x%5E2 from both sides
++x%2B1+=+6+
Ans: +x=5m+
Check:
+A=5%5E2+=+25+m%5E2+
and +%285%2B2%29%5E2+=+7%5E2+=+49+m%5E2 which is 24 more than 25
