and
y = 2x^2

:
y = x^2 - 4x
To solve for x:
x^2 - 4x = 0
x(x - 4) = 0
x = 0
x = +4

To Graph this:
Substitute for x, -2 to + 6:

0 | 0; x and y intercept
+1 | -3
+2 | -4
+3 | -3
+4 | 0; x intercept
+6 | 12
