how do you find the line parallel to another line? with the equation?
------------------
Not "the line." There are an infinite # of lines parallel to any given line.
-----
All parallel lines have the same slope.
=======================
If you know an equation of the given line, find its slope.
Put it in the "slope-intercept" form - that means solve for y.
---> y = mx + b
m is its slope.
====================
If you know a point that the 2nd line passes thru,
use y-y1 = m*(x-x1) where (x1,y1) is the point.
