You can put this solution on YOUR website! The total salary paid is mean*number of employees or $40,300*5=$201,500
The lowest paid employee gets $3100 so the new mean is 204,600/5=$40,920 or $620 more than the old mean (and $620*5=$3100, the amount raised, as a check.
The median is unchanged, since the lowest salary is still below the original median.
