34600=total/5
total is $173,000
the middle employee has a salary of $35,700 and two are below and two above. The two above must both be $36,900, since they are the mode.
The sum of those 3 is $109,500
The other two have a sum of $63500. There are an infinite number of combinations for that.
If the median employee gets a raise of $3900, they get $39,600. The new median will be $36,900, the mode, which doesn't change, but the 3rd largest salary (or 3rd smallest) will be the median. ANSWER
