Each pie represents the percentage of that data to the whole.
In other words, if I have three salespeople selling cars.
Oprah sells 50 cars, LeBron sells 30 cars, and Ronaldo sells 20 cars, then the percentage that each sells would be
Oprah-50/(50+30+20)=50/100=50%
LeBron-30/100=30%
Ronaldo-20/100=20%
Now the whole pie is 100%.
Oprah would have a slice that takes up 1/2 the pie since 50% is 1/2 of 100%.
LeBron and Ronaldo would share the other 50%.
LeBron's slice would be larger since 30% is larger than 20%.

If they all sold 33 cars and each had 33% of the pie (don't worry about the other 1%), then there would be 3 equal slices of pie to represent the equal number of sales that month.

Remember the bigger the slice, the greater contribution to the total.
The smaller the slice, the smaller the contribution to the total.
All pies equal 100%.
