Question 1147905: given that log(p+2) base 8 + log q base 8 =r-1/3 and log(p-2) base 2 - logq=2r-1, show that p^2=4+32^r

You can put this solution on YOUR website!
In the second equation you don't specify the base for q.
By convention, the base is 10 if a base is not specified; however, with 2 and 8 as the other bases in the problem, I doubt base 10 is intended.
