ln(1-x)=1/2
-------------
You didn't say what you want to do.
--
If it's solve for x:
ln(1-x)=1/2
1-x = e^0.5
x = 1 - e^0.5

You can put this solution on YOUR website!
ln(1-x)=1/2
-------------
Note:: ln means "exponent"
Note:: ln means "exponent of base e"
-----
Your equation says "The exponent of e is (1/2).
------
Equation:
e^(1/2) = 1-x
-------
By the way:: e = 2.718281828459...
------------------
1-x = 2.718281828459^(1/2)
1-x = 1.649..
x = -0.649..
