Question 132284
If 300 jellybeans cost you x dollars. How many jellybeans can you purchase for 50 cents at the same rate?

The answer will be a fraction divided by a variable. I will use the variable x but you can use any letter of choice.

Since 300/x = jellybeans/0.50

x(jellybeans) = 300 times 0.50

x(jellybeans) = 150

Divide both sides by x to find jellybeans.

Jellybeans = 150/x
