Question 19670
{{{(7n + (-1))/8 = 8}}}
Take the 8 from the denominator over to the right hand side
on the left it was division,when you take it over to the right it becomes multiplication
so we get,
{{{ 7n-1=8*8}}}
on multiplying we get,
{{{7n-1=64}}}
now take the -1 over to the other side
when you take it to the other side,plus becomes minus,minus becomes plus
so we get,
{{{7n=64+1}}}
add it up,
{{{7n=65}}}
n=65/7
<P>
Thats your answer
<P>remember that when you take something to the other side of an '=' sign,say from the left to the right,whatever it was turns oppposite.meaning something that was addition becomes subtraction on the other side,division becomes multiplication,and so on.

Hope this helps,
