Question 130168
I have a worksheet and I am stuck on the last question. It says:
Solve the system of inequalities x>2 and y is less than or equal to x+3 by graphing. If the system does not have a solution, write no solution.
-------------------
Sketch the vertical line x=2 as a dashed line.
Shade the half-plane to the right of the line because you
want x greater than 2.
Sketch the lin y = x+3 as a solid line because you have
y=x+3 as one of the conditions.
Shade the half-plane beloe the line because you have y is
less than x+3.
--------------
Solution: it is the intersection of the two half-planes
plus the y=x+3 boundary of the intersection.
