Question 129947
Hmmm...I wonder how you got any solution at all???
Let's write the equations in their slope-intercept form:
2x = y+1 ---> y = 2x-1
2x-y = 5 ---> y = 2x-5
You can immeditely see that the two equations represent parallel lines because their slopes are equal. Since parallel lines do not intersect, there is no solution to this syem of equation!
Let's look at their graphs.
{{{graph(400,400,-5,5,-5,5,2x-1,2x-5)}}}
The answer to the problem then is: No solution!
