Question 122742
Let {{{ f= -3x+4}}} and  {{{g= -x^2+4x+1}}}

 find the following:

{{{g(-2) }}}

{{{f(4)-g(4)}}}

to find {{{g(-2) }}}, plug in {{{x=-2}}} into{{{g= -x^2+4x+1}}}

{{{g(-2)= -(-2)^2 + 4(-2) + 1}}}

{{{g(-2) = - 4 – 8 + 1}}}

{{{g(-2) = -12 + 1}}}

{{{g(-2) = -11}}}

Now find {{{f(4)}}} and {{{g(4)}}}

{{{ f(4) = -3(4)+ 4}}}

{{{ f(4) = -12 + 4}}}

{{{ f(4) = -8 }}}

{{{g(4)= -(4)^2 + 4(4) + 1}}}

{{{g(4) = - 16 + 16 + 1}}}

{{{g(4) = 1}}}

Then you have:

{{{f(4)-g(4) = -8 - 1}}}

{{{f(4)-g(4) = -9}}}
