Question 115972
We have two linear equation here: -5x+y=19 and x-7y=3

From x-7y=3,

x-7y=3
x-7y+7y=7y+3
x+0=7y+3
x=7y+3

Substituting this value to -5x+y=19,

-5(7y+3)+y=19
(-35y-15)+y=19
-34y-15=19
-34y-15+15=19+15
-34y+0=34
-34y=34
y=-1

Solving for x,

x=7y+3
x=7(-1)+3
x=-7+3
x=-4

Since we got x=-4 and y=-1,

The two lines intersect at (-4,-1)
