Sketch a narrow parabola tha spills water and has a turning point of (0, -4). Will this parabola have real or complex roots

Have you grandson plot the point (0,-4) on the y-axis of an 
x/y coordinate system.
If the parabola spills water it must look like a goblet that
is upside-down; draw an upside-down parabola that has its
high point (vertex) at (0,-4).
Notice that this parabola does not intersect the x-axis.
That means it has two complex roots.
