Question 117330
Solve the following equation.

7/x - 1/x-3 = 9/x squared-3x
____________________________________________________________________________

{{{7/x-1/(x-3)=9/(x^2-3x)}}}

{{{7/x-1/(x-3)-9/(x^2-3x)=0}}}

Find common denominator for each term to be {{{x(x-3)}}}:

{{{7(x-3)/x(x-3)-x/x(x-3)-9/(x^2-3x)=0}}}

{{{(7(x-3)-x-9)/x(x-3) =0}}}

{{{(7x-21-x-9)/x(x-3) =o}}}

{{{(6x-30)/x(x-3) =0/1}}}

Now cross multiply.

{{{(6x-30)(1) = 0(x(x-3))}}}

{{{6x-30=0}}}

Add 30 to both sides.

{{{6x-30+30=0+30}}}

{{{6x = 30}}}

Now divide 6 from both sides.

{{{6x/6 = 30/6}}}

{{{x=5}}}

Hope that helps.
