Question 117840
How do you write f(x)=(2x+1)^2 in standard form

The standard form for a quadratic equation is AX^2 + BX + C

f(x)=(2x+1)^2

=(2X+1)(2X+1)

Use FOIL method to multiply the two expressions.

2X(2X) + (1)(2X) + (2X)(1) + (1)(1)

4X^2 +4X + 1

Hope that helps.
