Question 117715
You are proceeding in right way but with wrong formula.
The point-slope form of equation of a straight line is {{{(y-y[1]) = m(x-x[1])}}} where {{{m}}} = slope and ({{{x[1]}}},{{{y[1]}}}) are the coordinates of the point through which the straigh line passes.
Here, {{{m = 3/4}}}, {{{x[1] = -4}}} and {{{y[1] = -5}}}.
So, the equation of the straight line is {{{(y + 5) = (3/4)(x + 4)}}}.
This can be re-written as {{{4(y + 5) = 3(x + 4)}}} i.e. {{{3x - 4y = 8)}}}.
