please help need this one problem solved asap.
solve for x if the perimeter is 32.

one side of the weird looking triangle is 3,the other side is
x+7,and on the bottom is 2x-2 please someone help me.

        The solution by @mananth is  FATALLY  WRONG  due to his arithmetic errors.

The equation for the perimeter is

    3 + (x+7) + (2x-2) = 32.


Simplify and find x

    3 + x + 7 + 2x - 2 = 32,

      x + 2x = 32 - 3 - 7 + 2,

        3x   =       24

         x   =       24/3 = 8 units.    <<<===---  <U>ANSWER</U>


The sides of the triangle are  3 units, 8+7 = 15 units and 2*8-2 = 14 units.


<U>CHECK</U>.  The perimeter is  3 + 15 + 14 = 32 units.    ! correct !
