        The  " solution "  in the post by @mananth is  INCORRECT,  since his conversion  " gallons ---> liters "  is incorrect.

        The problem itself is a simple arithmetic,  and I came to bring a straightforward solution.

<pre>
1 gallon is 3.78541 liters.

10,000 gallons = 3.78541*10000 = 37854.1 liters.

The rate of draining is 35 liters per minute

The time of draining = {{{37854.1/35}}} = 1081.55 minutes (rounded) = 18.026 hours (rounded).

It is LESS than one day.

It is about 18 hours.
</pre>

Solved, and all details are completely explained.
