Question 751568
.
Determine whether the lines y-4=3x and 2y-6x=8 are parallel, perpendicular, or neither.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
        The response in the post by @lynnlo is incorrect.
        I came to bring a correct solution.
Write equations for both lines in the form y = ax + b.
For the first line, this equation is  y = 3x + 4.
For the second line, this equation is y = 3x + 4.
Now you see that the equations for both lines are identical, so, the lines coincide.
They are neither parallel nor perpendicular.    <<<---===  ANSWER
