Question 489034
.
9x + 3 = 9x + b
For what value(s) of b does the equation have no solution?

the answer i thought was 3 but than i seen that if i put 3 it would be infinitely many solution
than i thought it was two but that was incorrect also
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
In order for this given equation    9x+3 = 9x+b,   does have no solution,  'b'  necessary must be
any number,  different from  3.
If  'b'  is equal to  3,  then left side is identical to right side,
and you have an identity instead of equation,  and this identity would be true for any value  (infinitely many values)  of  x.
In this formulation,  everything is on their right places,  so you should not worry
and you may have peace in your mind.
