Question 1205309
you were not being given enough information to solve this without making assumption that were not in the original problem description.
if the bricks are rectangular, then some possible dimensions are:
1 by 32
2 by 16
4 by 8
if the bricks are circular, then the dimensions would be solved as follows:
32 = pi * r^2
solve for r^2 to get r^2 = 10.18591636 square inches.
solve for r to get r = 3.191538243 inches.
solve for d to get d = 2 * r = 6.303076486 inches.
you simply cannot solve for the length of the path if you don't know the dimensions of the bricks.
are they lined up one after the other?
are they lined up one after the other in pairs of bricks wide?
there's no way to determine the length of the path without knowing the shape and dimensions of the bricks and how they are to be lined up to make the path.
that's what i think.
