Question 1205284
<font color=black size=3>
Yes the box method can be used. It can be used to multiply any sized polynomials (or any expression really).

Here's what the set up template will look like
<table border=1 cellpadding=5><tbody><tr><td></td><td>3x^2</td><td>4x</td><td>-9</td></tr><tr><td>2x</td><td></td><td></td><td></td></tr><tr><td>1</td><td></td><td></td><td></td></tr></tbody></table>
I'll leave it up to the student to fill in the gaps. Refer to <a href="https://www.algebra.com/algebra/homework/playground/lessons/box-method.lesson">this lesson</a> for more information and examples.
