Question 1203762

Pls help I'm trying to help my sister with maths homework and I can't remember how to do this😭. A premium ticket for a football match was one and a half times the price of a standard ticket. If the total cost for 4 standard and 2 premium tickets was €322, write an equation to show this information. Solve the equation to find the cost of a standard ticket. Please helppp

As a person seeking help, my advice to you would be to IGNORE, at all costs, what NONSENSE/GIBBERISH
JOSGARITHMETIC is trying to "sell" you. I'm convinced that his main purpose, at this forum, is to confuse
the HELL out of everybody including himself. What he wrote absolutely makes NO SENSE, at all, to me.

He mentions Q! What the HELL is Q, and what the HELL is 14Q = 322 supposed to be?

Enough of the TORTURE!! Read on if you're as disgusted as I am.

Let the price of a standard ticket be S
Then price of a premium ticket = {{{1&1/2S}}}, or 1.5S
As 4 standard and 2 premium tickets cost €322, we get: 4S + 2(1.5)S = 322 <=== Requested equation
                                                            4S + 3S = 322
                                                                 7S = 322
                             Cost of a standard ticket, or {{{highlight_green(matrix(1,3, S, "=", 322/7))}}} = €46

That's IT! NOTHING more, NOTHING less!!
