Question 17260
Are you solving for M? If so, you are correct so far. I think you might want to do two more steps. Rirst, the clear those decimals, multiply both numerator and denominator by 1000. That might look nicer:
{{{(G-.067)/.052=log(10,M)}}}

{{{ (1000G-67)/52=log(10,M) }}}

Next,suing the basic definition of logarithms:  {{{ log(10,M)= Y}}} means {{{10^Y=M}}}

{{{10^((1000G-67)/52) = M  }}}

As an alternative, if you did NOT multiply numerator and denominator by 1000, you would get this:

{{{10^((G-.067)/.052) = M  }}}

These answers should be the same. Do either of these look right?
