The problem is not defined well enough; there are (at least) two possible interpretations.<br>
(A) If the digits must be different: 8 choices for the first digit, then 7 for the second -- number of possible 2-digit numbers: 8*7 = 56<br>
(B) If the two digits can be the same: 8 choices for each digit -- number of possible 2-digit numbers: 8*8 = 64<br>
By the way, for your information....  The term is "2-digit number", not "two digits number".<br>
