(1) Find what that total is.<br>
When you take one more bill out of the bag, it has to be either $1, $5, or $20, so you will have five of one denomination.<br>
The problem asks for the largest amount of money you can get if you stop when you get five of one denomination, so that last bill you take out of the sack must be the largest denomination.<br>
(2) Add that largest denomination to the total from step (1) to get the answer.<br>

Ignore the "corrected" solution from "tutor" @ikleyn.  She did not "fix" anything....<br>
Initially, she showed the exact answer that you will get by following the logical process described in my response -- 1 $50 bill, 5 $20 bills, 4 $5 bills, 3 $2 bills, and 4 $1 bills -- a total of $50+$100+$20+$6+$4=$180.<br>
Then she sloppily did a calculation using FIVE $1 bills to show a final WRONG answer.<br>

YES -- the process stops as soon as she gets 5 of one denomination.  So she can't end with five $20 bills AND five $1 bills.<br>
