Question 1188498
.
An airplane travels 870 miles in 3 hours with the wind. That same plane traveled 690 miles against the wind.
How fast was the plane flying and how fast was the wind?

The problem's formulation is INCORRECT in this post, and with the given data/info, the problem CAN NOT be solved.

It is because the info about the duration of the 690-miles flight (against the wind) absents.

Probably, you wanted to say that the second flight takes THE SAME time as the first one, but actually

it is missed in the post.

So, revise your post and re-submit it to the forum after revising and correction.

If you do it, please do not submit it to me personally.
