comment from student : how did you get 2:15? i hate to sound stupid by asking but somehow im adding my time wrong because i got 2:55

My response : I spent long time thinking from where and how you got 55 minutes,

and then, finally, got understanding.

In your mind, you think that 1 hour is 100 minutes.

Dear visitor, it is a MISTAKE to think so.

1 hour is not the same as 1 dollar.

It is true that 1 dollar is 100 cents, but 1 hour is not 100 minutes: it is ONLY 60 minutes.

I assume that every elementary school student knows it starting from his (or her) 2-nd grade age.
