I can't tell if there is information missing, or if the problem is simply poorly conceived and unreasonable....<br>
IF the depth is constant, then you can find the maximum depth by dividing that allowed volume of 40,000 cubic feet by the area of the pool in square feet.<br>
That computation assumes the walls of the pool are vertical (could be...) and that the depth is everywhere the same (unlikely).<br>
